Practice
Students should practice 5 days a week. The length of practice time will vary greatly depending on the student's playing level and commitment. A student's progress will be a direct reflection of their practice habits.
Payment
Tuition is $972 for the school year (36 weeks). This is split into 9 equal payments of $108 due at the first lesson of each month, NOT dependent on the number of lessons in a month. If you sign up partway through the year, tuition is pro-rated. I have two need-based scholarships available. Payments can be made via cash, check or Zelle.
Missed Lessons and Make-ups
I am happy to reschedule lessons when possible. This is easiest to do when you let me know well ahead of time, because then I can give your time slot to another student who may be requesting a reschedule. If you are canceling a lesson, I will refund up to three per year, if requested. Sometimes I will also need to reschedule or cancel a lesson. If I must cancel a lesson you will always receive a refund.
Location
Lessons are held in the beautiful Olcott room at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (1710 E Superior Street) or in the sanctuary of Peace in Christ Church in Hermantown (5007 Maple Grove Road). Lessons can also be arranged online. (St. Paul's Policy: As per the Safe Church guidelines at St. Paul's, a parent/guardian MUST be present at a minor's lesson. The Olcott room is quite large and features comfy chairs, a library, and tables to work at. Your presence at your child's lesson can be hugely beneficial to their progress.)
